Refreshed 13 July 2026 — what we store in your browser and why.
This Cookie Policy sets out how FluxCapitall Ltd ("FluxCapitall", "we", "us", "our") makes use of cookies and similar browser storage on fluxcapitall.com (the "Site") — read it alongside our Privacy Policy for the full picture. Hitting "Accept all" on our banner, fine-tuning things in "Cookie settings", or simply carrying on browsing once you've seen the banner all count as consenting to what's described here, consistent with New Zealand's Privacy Act 2020 and standard online consent norms.
A cookie is a tiny text file a website drops onto your device — phone, tablet, laptop, whatever you're using — the moment you visit. It lets the site remember things about your session, like what's sitting in your cart, which cookie settings you picked, or pages you've already looked at, so things feel quicker and more relevant next time round. A cookie can't reach into your other files or run any code; it just stores a scrap of data the Site can retrieve later. We lean on "local storage" too, a close cousin of the cookie that does much the same job — whenever this policy says "cookies," assume we mean both.
Everything we set on fluxcapitall.com falls into one of three groups, mirroring the toggles in our on-site settings panel:
Essential cookies keep the Site's basic mechanics running and can't be turned off. They hold onto what's in your cart right now (saved locally as fc_cart_v1), note that you've already dealt with the cookie banner, and support routine security and traffic handling. Since the cart and demo checkout simply won't work without them, these stay active no matter what you pick in the banner or settings panel.
Analytics cookies give us a big-picture read on which books, articles and quiz questions land best with readers, how people move from the homepage into the shop or blog, and which searches come up empty so we can tighten our catalogue and content. This data is for our own internal reporting only, and choosing "Essential only" in the banner switches these off entirely.
Marketing cookies let us tailor what you see — say, dialling the 30-Day Budget Checklist banner up or down, or shifting which book category gets the spotlight — and, once this becomes a live production site, help gauge how well our affiliate links and any ad campaigns are performing. Picking "Essential only" also switches these off.
A handful of things on the Site come from outside services, and those services may drop their own cookies or similar tech independently of us: the Google Fonts stylesheet that handles our typography, the OpenStreetMap widget in our footer showing our location, and the Supabase-hosted cover images used across the shop and product pages. We don't have a hand in how those third parties manage their own cookies — check their individual privacy notices for that. And once you click an affiliate "Buy" button through to somewhere like Amazon, their cookies and privacy rules take over the instant you land on their site.
The banner shown on your first visit gives you three options: "Accept all," "Essential only," or opening "Cookie settings" for finer control over the Analytics and Marketing groups (Essential cookies stay locked on, as covered above). We remember your choice via local storage so the banner won't nag you again, though you can reset everything by wiping fluxcapitall.com's site data in your browser — the banner will simply reappear next time.
Your browser itself typically lets you inspect, remove or block cookies outright, and offers a private/incognito mode that discards cookies once you close the window. Bear in mind that our cart, checkout and preference tools depend on essential cookies and local storage, so a blanket browser-level block will stop items staying in your cart as you move between pages. Where exactly to find these controls differs by browser, but Settings → Privacy and Security is the usual starting point.
We'll revise this Cookie Policy whenever the cookies we use, or the law around them, shifts. Any meaningful update shows up as a new "Last updated" date at the top of the page, and when it matters we'll nudge you to double-check your cookie settings.
