Revised 13 July 2026 — a straightforward account of the data we hold and why.
FluxCapitall Ltd ("FluxCapitall", "we", "us", "our") runs fluxcapitall.com and takes seriously its obligation to handle your personal information the way New Zealand's Privacy Act 2020 requires. Below we set out, in plain terms, what we collect from readers and shoppers, why we bother collecting it, who else might see it, and how you can access or fix what we hold. Browsing the Site or placing an order means you're comfortable with the approach described here.
Some information comes straight from you — your name, email, phone number, delivery address and postcode when you check out, sign up for updates, work through our Money Quiz, or message us via the contact form. Any card details you enter at checkout go straight to our payment providers for processing; FluxCapitall's own servers never store them.
Other information is picked up automatically while you browse: device and browser type, a rough location, which pages you visited, and how you found the Site. Your cart contents and cookie choices live in your browser's localStorage, which is how they survive as you click between pages — none of that leaves your device unless you go on to complete an order.
Your personal information is never sold. We do pass limited details to a short list of partners we genuinely need to run FluxCapitall: Supabase hosts our catalogue and inventory data behind the scenes; a large share of our book links are Amazon affiliate links, so clicking through and buying on Amazon means Amazon processes that sale and handles your details under its own privacy terms — we never see your Amazon payment information, only an anonymised signal that a qualifying sale happened, which lets us tally the commission owed to us; and our payment processors handle whatever card details get typed into the demo checkout. Each partner only gets what it needs to do its specific job, and we'll also hand over information if the law compels it — say, a proper request from the New Zealand Police or a court order.
Cookies and local storage keep your cart intact, remember your preferences, and let us see, through analytics, how people actually use the Site. The full breakdown of each bucket — Essential, Analytics and Marketing — lives in our Cookie Policy, and you can revisit your choices whenever you like via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer or the banner you saw on your first visit.
Encrypted HTTPS connections across the Site and checkout, plus other standard safeguards, protect what we hold from being accessed, altered or lost without authorisation. We take this seriously, but no one can honestly promise that data sent or stored online is ever 100% risk-free.
New Zealand's Privacy Act 2020 gives you the right to ask what personal information we hold about you and to have it corrected if it's wrong, incomplete or stale. You can also ask us to delete information we no longer need, and you're free to pull out of marketing messages at any point — use the unsubscribe link in any email, or just tell us directly. If you're unhappy with how we've handled a request and our response hasn't fixed things, you're entitled to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
Order and enquiry records stick around only as long as we reasonably need them for the purposes in this policy — including our tax and accounting duties under New Zealand law and sorting out any disputes. Quiz answers saved in your browser stay put until you clear your browsing data yourself. Marketing preferences remain on file until you unsubscribe or ask us to wipe them.
