Last revised 13 July 2026 — the ground rules for using our site.
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") set the rules for accessing and using fluxcapitall.com (the "Site"), run by FluxCapitall Ltd, a New Zealand-registered company ("FluxCapitall", "we", "us", "our"). Simply browsing the Site, working through our Money Quiz, or placing a demo order means these Terms apply to you. If any part of them doesn't sit right with you, the safest course is to stop using the Site.
FluxCapitall puts together a hand-picked catalogue of financial literacy books for New Zealand readers, plus a blog, a Money Quiz, and reviews from customers. In return, we ask that you stick to lawful use, give us straight information when you reach out or check out, and steer clear of anything that undermines our security, harvests our catalogue for resale, or abuses the cart, quiz or checkout in a way that spoils things for other visitors.
We put real effort into keeping titles, descriptions, cover art and prices current, though the occasional slip can still happen, and pricing, stock and specs can shift without warning. Every price shown sits in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and reflects what the linked third-party retailer was charging when we listed it; what you actually pay is decided by that retailer (Amazon included) at the moment you buy, not by us. We keep the right to fix a pricing or listing mistake whenever we spot one.
FluxCapitall is enrolled in Amazon's affiliate programme. Most of the "Buy" and "View on Amazon" buttons scattered across the Site are affiliate links, and if you use one to buy something, FluxCapitall earns a small commission — this costs you nothing extra. Practically speaking, when you follow a link to Amazon and purchase a book (or occasionally other items in the same cart), a slice of that sale flows back to us from Amazon. We're upfront about this, consistent with the New Zealand Fair Trading Act 1986 and the broader expectation that advertising be honest and clear: what we recommend, how the quiz scores you, and what our blog reviews say all reflect our own editorial judgment — an affiliate commission never decides which books make our list or how favourably we write about them.
The cart and "Place order" flow you see here exist purely as a demonstration and preview — nothing more. No real charge goes through, no card numbers are stored anywhere, and finishing a "demo order" doesn't create an actual sale or trigger a book being posted out by FluxCapitall. Real purchases of the titles we showcase happen on the retailer's own site (usually Amazon), under that retailer's own pricing, terms and checkout. Browsing the Site, taking the quiz, or trying the demo checkout doesn't require signing up for an account.
Every piece of original writing, artwork, logo, illustration, quiz content and blog post on this Site belongs to FluxCapitall Ltd or the parties we licence it from, and sits under New Zealand and international copyright protection unless we've credited someone else. Book covers and titles shown here still belong to their own publishers and authors — we display them only to identify the books and support our editorial commentary. Copying, redistributing or building derivative works from our original material requires our written go-ahead first.
The Money Quiz, our blog posts, and the books we suggest exist to inform and entertain — nothing more. None of it amounts to personalised financial, legal, investment or tax advice, and FluxCapitall isn't a registered financial adviser under New Zealand's Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013. Quiz outcomes and reading suggestions are general in nature and shouldn't replace a conversation with a qualified adviser who actually knows your circumstances. Your quiz answers are handled entirely in your browser and never land on our servers.
As far as New Zealand law allows, FluxCapitall won't be on the hook for indirect, incidental or flow-on losses tied to your use of the Site, trusting our blog or quiz content, choices made after reading a book bought through one of our affiliate links, or problems that crop up with a purchase finished on a retailer's own site. None of this cuts down any right or remedy that the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 says can't be taken away.
New Zealand law governs these Terms, and both you and FluxCapitall accept that New Zealand courts have exclusive say over any dispute connected to these Terms or your use of the Site. Before things get formal, we'd rather you reach out directly using the contact details below — sorting it out quickly and informally usually beats a drawn-out process.
From time to time we'll refresh these Terms to keep pace with changes to the Site, our catalogue, or our legal duties. Whenever that happens, the revised version goes up here with an updated "Last updated" date, and sticking around on the Site afterwards means you've accepted the new version. Questions about any of this can go to kiaora@fluxcapitall.com or +64 4 518 3360.
