Shipping & Returns

Here's the plain version of how delivery and returns work when you pick up a book through fluxcapitall.com. Since FluxCapitall runs both a demo direct-checkout and affiliate links out to trusted retailers, we've laid this page out around the two different routes an order can take — so you'll always know who's actually shipping your book and who to call if things go sideways.

Two ways your order can travel

The bulk of the books on FluxCapitall link straight through to their Amazon listing via our affiliate programme — tap "Buy" or "View on Amazon" on any product card and you land on the retailer's own checkout, where your order, payment, delivery and returns are entirely theirs to manage under their terms. Separately, this Site also has its own cart and "Place order" flow, which is a preview of what a fully NZ-fulfilled checkout will look like once FluxCapitall starts holding its own stock — no real payment moves through it yet. We cover both routes below so there's no guessing involved.

Shipping within NZ (demo checkout)

Once direct fulfilment goes live, FluxCapitall will ship anywhere in New Zealand through our Wellington-based distribution partner, with courier tracking included. Expect 2–4 business days from dispatch to reach the main centres — Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin — while rural and remote addresses, RD numbers included, can run 4–7 business days. Orders placed Monday to Friday (excluding NZ public holidays) are typically packed and sent within one business day. Shipping runs a flat NZ$5.90, waived entirely once your order passes NZ$60 — the same threshold your cart shows you. The direct checkout doesn't currently ship internationally.

When Amazon fulfils your order

Buy through Amazon via one of our affiliate links, and it's Amazon's shipping menu, pricing and delivery windows that kick in at checkout — these can shift depending on whether Amazon or a Marketplace seller is fulfilling the title, which region your Amazon account is tied to, and whether you have Prime. FluxCapitall has no say in, and no visibility into, whatever shipping fee Amazon applies, and we're not able to speed up, cancel or change an Amazon order for you — that has to go through your own Amazon account.

Sending something back

Bought directly through FluxCapitall's checkout? You've got 30 days from delivery to send back an unopened, unmarked book in original condition for a full refund, or swap it for something else of equal value. Get in touch with your order number first so we can send you a return authorisation and a prepaid label — sending a book back before we've signed off on it just slows the process down. Once we receive it back in resalable shape, expect your refund on the original payment method within 5–10 business days. None of this takes anything away from the protections you already have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 — it sits on top of them.

Bought through an Amazon affiliate link instead? Returns run entirely on Amazon's own policy, which tends to be more flexible for eligible items, and you'll manage it through your Amazon order history — FluxCapitall has no ability to process a refund or return on an Amazon-fulfilled order.

If something arrives broken or missing

Got a direct FluxCapitall order that showed up damaged, faulty, or short an item? Get in touch within 14 days with a photo and your order number, and we'll sort a free replacement or a full refund — return shipping included where relevant, and you won't be asked to pay a cent for a faulty or damaged replacement. For anything bought through an Amazon affiliate link, report the problem straight to Amazon via your order page — they hold the shipping and stock records needed to fix it fast.

Following your parcel

Once a direct FluxCapitall order ships, you'll get a tracking link by email that follows the parcel with our NZ courier partner right to your door. Amazon orders track from inside "Your Orders" in your Amazon account, using whatever tracking data Amazon or the Marketplace seller supplies.
